I've always loved bringing people together and creating a sense of community through dinners, events and get togethers. I knew that starting a charcuterie business would do exactly that.
In October 2019 I officially launched Charcuterie Vancouver, to cater corporate gatherings, weddings and other large events. In March 2020 we were hit with the global pandemic and as many other businesses around the world, we were forced to close our doors. We remained closed from March 2020 to May 2020. Once we re-opened in May of 2020, my business really took off in Vancouver. My orders doubled, tripled and quadrupled. I immediately quit my job in hopes of pursuing my dream of running and operating my own business.
By the end of December 2020, we delivered thousands of charcuterie boxes to hundreds of different businesses and families so they can enjoy and continue to be together through their virtual hosted events and celebrations.
I hope that the experience I've had over the last 2 years, how I operated before the pandemic and during can help others around the world start their own Charcuterie Business.
